    GET UP

    1. To get up is to wake up and get out of bed.

    Examples of use:

    1. It’s 8 o’clock: time to get up.
    2. I want to get up early tomorrow.
    3. We had a day off work yesterday so we got up very late.
    4. He’s been getting up at 5am every day for years.
    5. She gets up early and goes for a run every morning.
    6. I get up at 7.30 every day.

     

    2. To get up is also to stand up.

    Examples of use:

    1. Get up off the floor. Your clothes will get dirty.
    2. He fell over when he was playing football, but quickly got up again.
